On 7 May 2026, the faculty welcomed a delegation from the Hungarian academic institution, the University of Miskolc (UoM), Faculty of Economics. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the ongoing cooperation between UoM and STU, which developed during the implementation of the joint ProSkill project under the EIT Raw Materials scheme in the period 2020-2022. The delegation consisted of four staff members and 52 students.
Following the official welcome by the vice-dean for strategic projects and mobility, Ing. Libor Ďuriška, PhD., the faculty was introduced to the visitors. The programme continued with a presentation of the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management delivered by its director, Ing. Peter Szabó, PhD. The delegation subsequently visited the institute’s laboratories, as well as the facilities of the Institute of Production Technologies.
During the first part of the laboratory tour, a meeting took place between representatives of MTF STU, the STU Department of International Relations, and UoM. Discussions focused on opportunities for further cooperation, particularly in the areas of joint European projects, publication activities, education, and exchange mobility programmes.
The visit, held in a friendly and positive atmosphere, provided an opportunity to strengthen existing ties between the two institutions and to identify promising directions for future cooperation.
