On 15 - 17 May 2011, in compliance with the schedule of STU MTF planned events, the 6th annual International Doctoral Seminar was held in Smolenice Castle.
We registered 76 postgraduates (30 foreign students) for IDS, who presented their contributions in two sections:
Section A:
- Machine Production Technologies
- Materials Engineering
Section B:
- Industrial Engineering and Quality Management
- Applied Information Technology and Automation in Industry
- Environmental and Safety Engineering
- Human Science in Technology
IDS in Smolenice was attended by the participants from the Czech Republic, Belarus, Germany, Austria and the Slovak Republic.
The total number of:
- PhD participants : 76
- foreign PhD participants : 30
- supervisors and guests from abroad : 7
The guests of IDS 2011 from abroad: Dr. h.c. Dr. Rolf Pfrengle (IFW Dresden, Germany), Dr.h.c. Peter Joehnk (FZD Rossendorf, Germany), Prof. Dr. Manuela Niethammer (TU Dresden), Prof. Volkmar Richter (Köthen, Germany) and prof. Boris Khina from (National Academy of Sciences of Belarus) and others.
The seminar was evaluated by the participants, guests from abroad and the STU MTF as a success.
The Organizing Committee welcomed the participation of the Faculty Management members, Heads of Faculty Institutes and other STU MTF employees who have personally attended the IDS 2011 and helped contribute to the success.
