Thursday's meeting of Dies Iovis Occurssus XXVI, on the 8th of November, opened with three skilled guitarists; they were students from the Elementary Art School M.S. Tranavsky, under the leadership of teacher Smažákova. After the initial cultural program the moderator Ing. Milan Petráš PhD. introduced the guest of the meeting- RNDr. Maria Bizubová, that was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology STU- Prof. Oliver Moravčík together with the Vice dean -doc. Peter Schreiber. RNDr. Bizubová is the author and co-author of textbooks, scientific and professional works among which those interested had the opportunity to purchase the book entitled “Kamene”.
Doctor Bizubová introduced the audience to the beauty of stones in Slovakia. This was yesterday's topic at the meeting that aptly characterized the entire lecture. She classified different categories of stone within different Slovak areas together with photographs and comments.
From her pleasant expression, it was felt that she identified herself with a quote from the geologist Jozeph Michalík , who sounded the end of the presentation with: "Stone is not just a sample selected for a particular purpose, or waste, but it is a record of the past. It radiates its history that we have the opportunity to read. All stones are happy for me."
