The New Year’s Meeting of employees and friends of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology STU offers an occasion to evaluate the previous year and to preview future activities which will follow in the next year. But especially it is an opportunity for a social event. The year 2013 was a year that required a lot of difficult work for the success of the faculty.
We welcomed very special quests – The Honorable Rector of STU Mr. Róbert Redhammer, representatives of the other universities and faculties, representatives of entrepreneurs and cooperative subjects, special foreign and local guests.
The introduction speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty Dr.h.c. Prof. Dr. Ing. Oliver Moravčík. The Dean evaluated the previous year, proudly named all successes of the faculty and also pointed out the points where improvement is needed. He thanked all participants for the growing quality of the faculty, not only in domestic but also in foreign evaluations. (The speech of the dean)
