The faculty of Materials Science and Technology STU in Trnava, on the 9th – 14th September 2012, actively participated in the most important industrial trade fair in Central Europe - the International Engineering Fair in Brno 2012. Attendees was highly professional, there was more than 1500 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors.
The MTF STU especially presented the centres of excellence and the research institutes in line with trade research, development, technology transfer, financial and other services.
Within the project of technology transfer and innovations which aimed to promote the transfer of research results into industrial practice whilst offering the visitors scientific research activities of universities and research centres. During the international trade fare there were other international fairs running consecutively with the MSV, these were: international fair of machining and forming techniques IMT and technological fairs- Fund-ex, Welding, and Plastex Profintech and a fair of personal protection, safety and working environment Interprotec.
This significant event attracted the media by its accompanying program which was rich in professional conferences, seminars and workshops dealing with technical business concerning the current technical, business and economic issues. The magnificence of the fair was supported by the visit of the President of the Czech Republic, Mr Vaclav Klaus, who looked at the exhibitions of the MTF STU.
The representatives of the institutes of the faculty, during the five-day exhibition, actively followed up contacts for cooperation with industry and they presented scientific research activities of the faculty to the target group of visitors - production companies, investors and entrepreneurs
