The Faculty
of Materials Science and
Technology in Bratislava ,with residence
in Trnava - Institute of Engineering Pedagogy and Humanities, "Internationale
Gesellschaft für Ingenieurpädagogik" - IGIP (International Society of
Engineering Pedagogies) under the
auspices of the Slovak Republic's Ministry
of Education organized on the 3rd and 4th of December 2009, the 9th international scientific
conference called SCHOLA 2009. This was to focus on innovations in education
and the training of engineers.
The aim of the conference
was to create an environment for presentations and to compare the results of
pedagogical and research activities in the field of education and training of
engineers. The conference was focused primarily on the following areas:
- Engineering Education.
- Trends in the training and education.
- Accreditation of degree programs.
- Innovative teaching curricula.
- Key competencies, engineer - teacher.
- The quality of the teaching process.
- Developing entrepreneurial
students in technical fields.
At the conference 92
contributions were presented in the presence of 124 participants from Slovakia, Czech
Republic, Poland,
Austria and Russia.
The following diplomas were
awarded during the conference - ING-PAED IGIP.
