The conference took place in 12 sections by 101 students who presented their
works in the form of a lecture supported by a poster presentation.
Trnava. The end of April at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology of
the STU in Trnava, in cooperation with
the Slovak Society of Tribology and the Tribotechnic and Competence Centre Tribology Mannheim International conference on
the topic of "Production and disorders of sprockets
and gears." Spur gears are a significant part of engineering and they are
most common in transmission systems. They are important in the transmission of
torque, speed and angular speed which is implemented in transmission
engineering and the transformation of mechanical work. Analysis of the causes
of failed gears and their removal creates conditions to ensure quality and
reliability throughout their lifetime. Conference participants discussed all
aspects of production and transfer failure, especially in terms of tribological
knowledge. The conference was attended by 73 registered participants from
Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The faculty
round of the Slovak Scientific Conference 2012 (SVK 2012) at the faculty of
Materials Science and Technologies Slovak University of Technology in Trnava,
on the 29th March 2012, the Student Scientific Conference (SVK) took place.
This showed the culmination of students' scientific and professional activities
at the faculty. The conference had 12 sections attended by 101 students who
presented their work in the form of lectures supported by a powerpoint
presentation or poster. The suggested solution was in the frame of ŠVOČ, the
supervisors suggested in December 2011 that just 107 topics from which at the faculty
round (SVK) 93 were presented. The level of work was evaluated by expert
committees composed of 42 teachers and researchers from our faculty, who
generally agreed on the high quality of work. In each section, the three best
works were awarded by a diploma from the MTF STU's Dean and by a financial
reward - motivation scholarships. Six winning works from the section of
materials, production technologies 1, industrial engineering, management and
quality 1, Fire Engineering, Humanities and English were nominated for the
premium section of the Literary Fund for scientific and technical literature
and computer programs. The management of the faculty except the financial
award, they also approved of the additional award in the form of a gift - a
tablet. Two students were drawn from those that were winners in the sections of
Materials and Production Equipment and Systems. (R)
