Ladislav ŤAŽKÝ
Tazky Ladislav (born 19/9/1924 in Cierny Balog) - A nestor and living classic
of Slovakian literature, the author of thirty books, novels, new theatrical and
radio plays, film scripts, 3 books of essays and a rich publicist. During his
life he has experienced and known the fate of the Slovak nation, social misery,
the cruelty of the war and imprisonment
in Lagris, political tensions and backstage fights. He studied in Prague VŠPHV
in 1948-1952 and is a candidate of philosophical science at the UKF in Nitra
and was awarded a Doctor Honoris Causa. Since 1970 to 1989 he was proscribed
and persecuted by writers, deprived of civil rights and had a publication. ban.
