the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Bratislava which has its residence in Trnava is organising for the second year an unusual Thursday afternoon, which is an opportunity to meet with personalities of the scientific, social and cultural community.

Prof. Ing. Arch. Janka Krivošová, PhD.
She worked in the art
department of Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava as a costume and scene
designer, especially for historical productions (Prince Rastic, Elizabeth
English, Public Prosecutor, Servant of Two Masters, Caligula, etc..) and also
collaborated with the J.G.Tajovsky
theatre for presenting Dusik's opera
Blue Rose, ballet When Heart Hurts ...
by J. Cikker, and others ,Tatra Revue cabaret. In 1975 she joined the
Department of Architectural History in the Faculty of Architecture as a
researcher. Her candidate work was technical sights of folk architecture in Slovakia / 1981. Research work in
the field of civil engineering in the
20th century published together
with E. Lukáčová during 1990 in his book Metamorphoses of contemporary Slovak
architecture. She is the author of a monograph
about Evangelical churches in Slovakia which was published in an English
version, co-author of collective publications - Sacral Architecture in
Slovakia, Masters of Architecture, Architecture in Slovakia - Brief History,
and Protestants in the history of Slovak culture III. She is also the artist of paintings in the
evangelical churches: in Bratislava - the image of evangelicals in the history
of Slovakia which is in the Little
Church on Panenska Street / 1986 /, altarpieces: Lestiny / 1994 , Blatnica /
1997 , Sol / 1998 , Bratislava - Dubravka / 2004 , Sliac / 2004 . She has also
illustrated several books.
