Here are the
contents of the latest articles on the STU in the media that we have seen over
the past year:
We www.sme.sk, 14.11.2011: International Conference and distinguished guests at
the MTF
Faculty of Materials Science and Technology STU has organized in the premises
of the faculty, the third annual international scientific conference TEAM in
cooperation with the TEAM Society and 17th annual Scientific Conference of CO-MAT-TECH.
In Trnava, on the 19th to the 21st of
October participants were able to present the results of science and research
institutions from Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary,
Poland, Russia and Thailand.
The conference offered a space for consultation and confrontation of the work
of colleagues in the fields from various parts of the world and thus they were
able to give their long experience to younger colleagues.
It is gratifying that almost half of the total contributions were from PhD students and their factual content was high.
Overall, the conference attracted more than a hundred participants, mostly from
abroad.
MTF STU entered into the TEAM Society
Together with the conference the annual
meeting of the Team Society was held, MTF management were also invited. During
the meeting the MTF STU was accepted as
a member of the TEAM Society. The TEAM Society president Prof. Antun Stoic held
the receiving decree to the Vice-Dean of the
MTF STU Prof. Dr. Ing. Jozef Peterka, thus opening the door for students
and teachers to go on an internship with partner institutions in Croatia and Hungary.
The meeting debated the preparation of the next annual conference TEAM in Slavonski
Brod, Croatia.
The conference was supported by the following companies: Prvá
Zváračská, a.s., MCAE, Simplan AG, SimulPlast, AbicorBinzel, Automobilový
klaster, SK Technik, Fronius, Henkel and Koliba pri jazere Krpáčovo.
Professor Velíšek was awarded by the Deanof the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TU ClujNapoca Prof. Dr. Ing. Dr. h. c. mult. Peter Berce.
Rare visit
At the invitation of Professor Oliver Moravčík - Den of the MTF, we had an exceptional guest visiting from Sydney -Ing. Dušan Sevcik, a world-renowned expert in the field of engineering technology, excellent designer of pressure vessels and a good proclaimer of the reputation of the MTF anfd the STU.
