Here is an overview of events in the MTF STU - in evaluation reports that the
MTF received from ARRA, the most significant shift amongst the technical
faculties of Slovak universities. An MTF student was involved in the removal of
illegal dumps, and this year the faculty commemorates the 25th anniversary of
its creation.
Achievements of the MTF
The Ranking and Rating Agency (ARRA), on the 30.11.2011 published a report
entitled Evaluation of university faculties for 2011. The Dean of the MTF SUT,
Professor Oliver Moravčík commented on the results of the MTF: "I am
pleased to say that our faculty is amongst the 23 technical faculties of Slovak
universities and is ranked in at eighth place. Of the 7 faculties of the STU,
we are in 4th place. Previous ranking is as follows (2008: 16th
place, 2009:18th place, 2010:18th place) and s regularly
at 7th place within the STU
that is rated amongst the most significant shift in the institutions. "
The basic organization of the Slovak Union of Nature and Landscape in Považská
Bystrica, granted an STU student Joseph Kozák Bc. "thank-you letter"
for his active participation in the project "Improving the environment in
the village spring, where we live and operate." Student Kozak Bc., who was
involved in the removal of illegal dumps and building a relaxation zone in the
village, he received a thank-you letter from the Dean of the MTF STU , which also
thanked him for his reputation and spreading a good name about and MTF and the STU.
MTF STU at the
fair and scientific seminar
At the begining of November, the MTF STU
offered accredited study program at the XVIII. year 2011 of the European Fair Gaudeamus in Brno with more than 30 000 people. After a
few days, in the premises of the Prva
Zvaracska, a. s. in Bratislava,
welding technology research seminar 2011 - took place ,EU industry technology
development, who's organizers Prva ZVÁRAČSKÁ, prva zvaracskaa,as. ,MTF Bratislava
(MTF, FEI, SjF), International Laser Center
and TRUMPF SLOVAKIA,
sro. The seminar offered a space for presentation of scientific work of young
doctoral students and post welding experts.
Visitors to the Faculty
The representative of the Delcam Birmingham company,-Anthony Hall and representatives DELCAM Brno, sro, director Pavel Šimonek
and Michal Jelinek, were admitted to the MTF
the Dean Prof. Moravčík and Vice-Deans and Prof. Peterka. The Delcam company
is for the MTF STU, the strategic long-term partner of the industry especially
in the field of CAD / CAM software.
In order to solidify contacts and discussions on the possibilities of cooperation
in research adopted by the MTF's Dean

25th anniversary of the STU
The MTF STU, in 2011 commemorated the 25
th anniversary of its
creation.
On this occasion, the Faculty organizes numerous events, which are held on 10.11.2011 Meeting with former workers of the MTF STU. On the 3.12.2011 , the Faculty organized the event- St. Nicholas at the MTF STU. After this event expressed words of gratitude and praise from children and parents - faculty staff were given. The celebrations continued for three days in a gala evening at the theater J. Palárik in Trnava, in which the Dean praised the staff of the faculty.
