MTF STU awarded the best dissertation works for the year of 2011. Ing. Emil Lecovitch, PhD.- Laureate of the prize PRVA ZVARACSKA, Ltd.
The New Years meeting of employees and friends of the MTF STU was held on the 19th of January. After the Dean’s speech- Prof. Oliver Moravcik and the Academic Senate’s Chairman- Milos Cambal, a professional lecture took place by Prof.Dr.Prof. Emeritus Gunter Dorfel, from Germany, about the discovery of xrays. After this lecture Ing. Milan Petras, PhD. gave a talk about the world’s famous physicist – Philip Lenard. The official program of the meeting peaked at the ceremonial awarding for the year of 2011.
Among sixty-one dissertation theses were chosen on the basis of professional evaluation, the following works are from the authors: Rastislav Beno, PhD., Ing.Jozef Fiala, PhD. and Ing Michal Kopcek PhD. The award The Best Project Team of 2011 was gained by the team of workers from the Institute of Health and Safety and Environmental Engineering of the MTF for the revitalization of the botanical garden and the arboretum. The award for the best habilitation work dealing with the development of inter cultural management went to doc. Mgr Dagmar Caganova, PhD.
The awards for cooperating with industry were given to doc. Ing. Lubomir Caplovic, PhD. and doc. Ing. Marian Hazlinger,CSc. The awards from external environment were also awarded. The award of the Orange company Slovakia for the best dissertation work from the field of applied informatics and automation was awarded to Ing. Michal Kopcek, PhD., the award for The Most Important Publication from the field of Applied Informatics and Automation was given to doc. Ing.Robert Vrabel, PhD. and the award from PRVA ZVARACSKA Ltd, for the best dissertation, was awarded to Ing. Emil Lechovis, PhD.
