The 1st International Scientific and Professional Conference Cutting Tools 2024 was held at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Trnava from 20 to 22 November 2024. The MTF STU organised the conference in Trnava in cooperation with MASAM s.r.o.
The conference aimed to connect people from the industry with the university and academic environment, and to jointly discuss the latest challenges for the future, trends in cutting tools, their research, development and practical applications in chip machining. The objective was achieved thanks to the large number of participants, from different universities and companies from several countries, such as the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania. In addition to universities, representatives of partner companies presented their research results at the conference: TGS nástroje-stroje-technologické služby spol. s r.o., Walter Slovakia s.r.o., Schunk Intec s.r.o., Ionbond Czechia, s.r.o., and Arkance Systems CZ s.r.o.
The conference thus provided participants with an excellent international platform for sharing knowledge and experience in engineering, education and management with an interdisciplinary overlap to solve current problems in the field of cutting tools.
