We announce that the FMST SUT will have on-line
access to the database from the company ProQuest (called ProQuest Technology
Collection) on the 1st of February till the 30th of March 2011.
This is a collection
focused on materials science, aviation, engineering and technology, where data
is linked from the bibliographic database and the Technology Research Database
CSA Illumina platform, with 400 + full text journals, ProQuest Technology
Journals and graphical information from a unique database called Illustrata,
which makes a detailed index that
describes the tables and other graphic materials published in scientific
articles.
Basic instructions for accessing the database:
1. In a web browser enter http://www.infozdroje.sk/
2. Select type of search:
[Opening line search]
search keyword option to limit your search results to full text, or even
scientific journals.
[Search subject areas], you can only choose one subject
area in which you work. You do not have to always
search the entire database.
[Advanced search] search by
using a structured form and logical operators simultaneously in different
search fields.
Search results - on the right side you will find options
for further work with search results - sorting, limiting, select a particular
type of document, documents in selected languages, etc.
3. [My Research] work with labelled records (print, send e-mail, save to file) and sharing search results.
4. Devices to search are displayed
by clicking on [Help] in the upper right corner of the screen. Other devices in
the Slovak language will appear on http://www.proquest.sk/> Utilities and
tools or to http://www.infozdroje.sk/ by clicking on [devices] at the name of
the database.
