Information about admission procedure for candidates of doctoral study in the academic year of 2012/2013 with the starting date for study being from the 1st March 2013.
According to the amendment of the rules for admission to PhD studies, the Dean of the faculty announces the admission procedure for doctoral level of study to start form March 2013 (in the summer semester).
Electronic application for study
Will commence from the 20/11/2012
Before applying via electronic application, the applicant is supposed to check the following information:
A) INFORMATION FOR APPLYING VIA ELECTRONIC APPLICATION
One important condition when applying for doctoral study is to have an academic title of the second degree of university study.
The entrance examination is part of the admission procedure. The examining committee will evaluate:
- from the theoretical-professional speech to the chosen topic of the dissertation thesis
- language skills (English)
- following preconditions for successful study (motivation, priority, possible simultaneous employment, activities)
Admission procedure:
- Deadline for submission of applications and payment of admission fee: until the 27/12/2012
- Delivering certificates of finished studies at II. degree not later than 07/01/2013
- Date of entrance examination: 14/01/2013
- Date of the meeting of the Dean’s commission 18/01/2013
- Fee for the electronically filled application: 40 €
The faculty only accepts electronic applications printed from the system and delivered to the faculty together with compulsory attachments until the 27/12/2012. Paper applications (which can be bought in ŠEVT) will be given back to the applicant

C) THE FEE FOR ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The payment of 40 Euros for one electronically filled application can be paid by one of the following possibilities:
1. cashless payment bank order
2. internet banking

Variable symbol is generated by the system during filling an electronic application (information about account number, variable symbol, bank code, admission fee and address of payment receiver can be found in the system when establishing e-applications, in section ‘paid’)
Attention!- the system generates only one variable symbol per application. In the case of establishing more than one application, for instance, an application for two study programs or two study methods, each application will have a different variable symbol.

D) THE APPLICATION MUST CONTAIN:
- CV
- Copy of the state exam certificate verified by a notary
- Copy of the university diploma verified by a notary
- Copy of the state exam certificate from a foreign language or tests passed by candidates verified by a notary (only in the case when the candidate passed these exams and tests, otherwise it can not be sent).
- The receipt of the admission payment (if this payment was paid differently than payments shown in point C)
According to paragraph 58, section 3b, law no. 131/2002 Coll. on universities, the applicant of daily study must state information about previous or present employment. Applicants must sign a declaration, declaring that during study time one will not work or be working for another employer.
Certification of qualifications that were gained abroad
Each applicant that gained foreign qualifications issued from schools or universities must admit them.

Applicants that finished their studies abroad that have not admitted their qualifications must do so by 27/12/ 2011/2012 otherwise they will not be admitted.

F) THE TOPICS OF DISSERTATION THESES IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013 (will be active from 20/11/2012)
The applicant will choose a dissertation thesis in this previously mentioned webpage. There is also a possibility to choose the topic according to supervisor, department or workplace.
G) PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE PREPARATION
Candidates will have to pass an English language exam.

Admitted applicants for 3rd grade of study will only be taught in the English language

H) FURTHER INFORMATION
- incomplete applications will be disqualified from the admission procedure
- it is possible to study daily (3 years) or external (5 years) method
- only a certain amount of students can be accepted due to capacity reasons
- the fee for external students in the academic year 2012/2013 is 1500 Euros. It is compulsory for each student to deliver the receipt of payment during signing in the 1st year of study.
- Students who exceeded the standard length of study at the time of signing are compelled to deliver the receipt of payment in accordance with the Rector's directive Smernicou rektora platnou pre ak. rok 2012/2013 - 6/2011-N
