Competition “Award for the best journalistic contribution in the field of work quality, production and life” is one of the strategic activities of the National Quality Programme of the Slovak Republic.
The mission of the competition is to allow the generation and dissemination of new knowledge in the field of work quality, production, and life in Slovakia for continuous improvement and leading innovation.
The competition aims to highlight the work of journalists, columnists, editors, researchers and graduate students, focusing on the area of quality, support, and reward for their exceptional contributions that capture the given topic and contribute to raising public awareness about the issue and its benefits to society.
The category of best diploma thesis was awarded to a student of the MTF STU- Petra Kosnáčová with a diploma thesis entitled "Application of statistical methods in process improvement" (the supervisor of the diploma thesis was Ing.Marta Kučerová, PhD.).
The award ceremony of the Slovak National Award for Quality 2013 was held on the11th November 2013 in the historical building of the Slovak National Council. Diplomas were awarded by the SR Minister of Economy- Tomas Malatinský and the Chairman from the SR Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing - Jozef Mihok.
