Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen,
In June 2009 the occurrence of a substantial conformity
between the directors of institutes and the faculties leadership on the issue of the redistribution
of above-tariff salaries (personal bonuses) for the period after the 1st of
February 2010 took place.
It was agreed that the period which is crucial
for the calculation of personal allowances will conform to the parameters for
calculations of subsidies for higher education as set by the Ministry of
Education 01.11 to 31.10
The FMST SUT has created
two funds for the category of university teachers:
1. A
fund for incentives to increase the qualification structure of teachers of the
faculty
2. A fund
for calculating personal allowances, relating to the achievements of creative
workers.
Finances of the 1st Fund will be updated after any
change in the qualification structure of employees in various institutions by the
following key:
a /
For a Professor 340 € per month will be
assigned to the fund.
b / For an Associate Professor, 235 € per month will be assigned to the fund.
c /
For a professional assistant position
with the title of CSc., Dr. or PhD, 100
€ per month will be assigned to the fund.
This fund can only be used for a group of employees, for
which it was assigned and the leadership of the institute will have to create
at least 7% designed for special bonuses.
Finances of the 2nd fund are modified to respect the
current regulations of the ME SR (Ministry of Education , Slovak Republic) for calculations of subsidies and
the rules of the Accreditation Commission of the SR.
Four original criteria were reduced to three:
- Pedagogic activities with a value of 0.3 / ministerial criteria are evaluated at 0.6 / calculated to student/hours.
- Publication activities with the value 0.4 - split into two components, where one of them represents accreditation criteria and another represents a calculation of subsidies. These are evaluated equally.
- Scientific Research activities of the Institute with a value of 0.3 expressed in the amount of funds obtained from domestic and foreign grants and also contractual projects with industrial partners at home and abroad.
The management of the institute will create a 7 % reserve from this fund as
well. The transfer of money from the second fund to the first fund is possible
because there are Professors, Associate Professors and Professional assistants
with a scientific title in the category of creative employees.
There has been a fund created for research employees of
institutes, for personal allowances from the average individual bonuses for the
faculty's teaching staff, as was the case previously, the administrative staff
will also not have the rules changed.
The amount of money in existing funds, which accumulate funds for personal allowances of staff at the faculty, remaining after the 01.02.2010 will be modified on the 01.07.2010 according to the current state of allocated grants for the university and then for our faculty in 2010.
Faculty Management believes that the changes of the rules, which are not just simply achieved by negotiation, will enhance the motivation of employees of the faculty extending also towards research and teaching activities. The new rules were also noted by the Staff Council of the FMST SUT.
In the February pay period, the second part of remuneration will be paid for the successful accreditation from the portfolio ‘magnificence rector' this will approximately be the same amount as the first part of the remuneration paid in July 2009.
