Creative Workshops were held
On 13.3.2014 the first Creative Workshops were held in the faculty entrance hall of Pavilion Z. They were focused on the production of functional and decorative objects from waste material.
The Creative Workshops initiated the project of students from the institute UPIM “MTF Transfers to Green.” The aim is to implement separated waste collection in dormitories.
The students of UPIM: Martina Ištvánová, Vlado Kováč, Monika Štefanigová, Mária Kubašová, Katarína Hašková, Ivana Zigová, Roman Herega, Lenka Benedikovičová, Peter Pilch, Pavol Rosa, Erika Pokorná, Marta Špirková, and Tibor Zvonár cooperated on the project under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Ing. Jana Šujanová, CSc. and Ing. Jana Samáková, PhD.
A nice surprise was the visit of pupils from the private elementary school ZŠ BESST (English-Slovak bilingual school) under the supervision of the school director Mgr. Martina Grošková, teachers Ing. Katarína Ondreičková, PaedDr. Beata Bojanovova. The visit was organized by Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Dagmar Cagáňová, PhD. Children presented their products from recycling material used for reproduction of the Great Wall of China.
It was a meeting of two generations: “little ones and big ones.” There was a common aim to point out the necessity to protect in an active way our environment (the photos show a vivid discussion, excitement and cooperation on both sides). Both groups agreed to continue the cooperation during the Festival of Science from 25.4.2014 – 26.4.2014 at MTF STU and the Trinity Square.
