At
the Faculty
of Materials Science and Technology on Thursday the 27th
of October 2011during the - Dies IOVIS Occurssus, a welcomed researcher of
the National Biographical Institute - Mgr. Zdenko Ďuriška
visited. The meeting was also
attended by our former Vice-Dean,
the current vice-rector for Education
of STU, doc. Ing. František
Horňák, PhD.
The theme of the meeting was genealogy - the science
of dealing with family ancestors. Master Ďuriška talked about
his publication, his work of Genealogy and told of a few examples of specific surnames in
Slovakia, as an interesting
original surname such as Hodža.
The short lecture was followed by a discussion, the audience asked several questions, particularly aimed at clarifying there own origins. It can be very important to know ones past ancestors.
The meeting was moderated by Ing. Milan Petras, PhD. who
introduced the musical skilled performance of ZUŠ
M. School, Trnava,
Zuzka Harantova, with
three compositions on the keyboard.
