On Thursday the 24th of November 2011 Dies
IOVIS Occurssus took place. This
time we welcomed the SR Ministry of
Health specialist for
curing drug addictions - MD. Lubomir Okruhlica, CSc.
Before the lecture,
we heard a performance
by Ondrej Ondruška - Art School pupil
of M. S. Trnavsky in Trnava with the composition
of "Blue Waltz",
which he played
on an accordion, the
lecture then followed and was introduced by the Dean-
Prof. Dr. Ing.
Oliver Moravcik.
The topic of the lecture was "What
is Addiction? -
The current situation "
this meeting was also attended by
the Vice-Rector of the STU for cooperation with practice, Prof. Ing. Marian Peciar,
PhD.
Doctor Okruhlica- who's knowledge and
experience was reflected in the interesting
lecture which offered insight into
the developments in Slovakia and also research in this area. Theory and graphs were
replaced by photographs showing
the impact of drugs on physically as well as mentally.
The final debate was opened by the moderator of the event- Ing. Milan Petras,
PhD. and the final word belonged to Dean.
