On Thursday afternoons there are regular meetings with experts from different professional fields of scientific, cultural, and social life. On the 25/10/2012 at our faculty, we had the opportunity to welcome doc. MuDr. Julius Chrámec, PhD., he is the head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics clinic at the Faculty’s Hospital in Trnava.
In the afternoon the Deputy Dean- doc. Maria Mišútová, PhD., welcomed our special guest, along with moderator Ing. Milan Petráš, PhD.
The cultural performance was provided by music teacher- Oliver Rogowsky together with his pupil Alexandra Pinkasova from the Elementary art school of M. Sch. Trnavsky In Trnava. They gave a guitar performance dedicated to women as well as Thursday’s meeting.
Doc. Chramec gave a lecture on the topic of cancer prevention in gynaecological surgery.
The lecture was really interesting for women in the auditorium and he presented photographic examples of different stages of tumour findings. Doc. Chramec constantly stressed the need for informing the public about information on the subject, which would, he said, increase prevention of gynaecological cancer related diseases, which together with early diagnosis can prevent deterioration of the disease.
We are thankful for doc. Chramec’s valuable visit, his sincere professional attitude and for answering taboo questions.
