On the 5th to the 8th of November 2009 the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology from the SUT made a presentation in the exhibition of the centres of excellence. This took place as a part of the "Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia", this was arranged by the Slovak Republic's Ministry of Education. The centres of excellence are supported from structural funds provided by an operational program of Research and Development.
The exhibition was opened by the General Director of the Science and
Technology section from the Ministry of Education, Professor Mikulas Supin.
The stands of the FMST SUT were honoured by the visit of vice Prime Minister Mr Dusan Caplovic.
FMST SUT presented:
The exhibition was an opportunity for publicising these unique projects and for the exchanging of information relating to
the building of these centres. During this exhibition comprehensive
information, aims, facilities and equipment, future outputs and the latest
information about the projects were presented. Part of the presentation was a
presentation of publicised activities from the Institute
of Materials and the Institute of Production
Technologies during the year of 2002.

The Centre for development and the application of advanced diagnostic methods in the processing of metallic and non-metallic materials had the following participants:

Administratively, the exhibition was organised by the knowledge management department and the department of technology transfer.
The FMST SUT decently presented their centres to the professional public and their participation in the exhibition demonstrated excellent supportive networks, research workplaces and was a pillar of regional development thus promoting cooperation between regions.
