On October 16, 2025, the Faculty was visited by a delegation from the partner academic institution Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) from France, which is a member of the EULiST alliance. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the ongoing cooperation, which was established after the STU delegation's visit to IMT in 2024.
After initial welcome of the delegation by the Faculty's Vice-Dean for Strategic Projects and Mobility, Ing. Libor Ďuriška, PhD., a presentation of both institutions took place, attended by members of the Faculty and Institute management, researchers, and administrative staff. Then, the delegation visited the laboratories of the individual institutes, where they familiarized themselves with their research activities. Following the laboratory tour, bilateral meetings were held, during which thematic groups discussed opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the areas of joint projects and publications, online and hybrid teaching for EULiST alliance students, as well as in the field of student and academic mobility.
The program also included a social evening, which involved a visit of the City Tower and a gala dinner. The visit, which was held in a friendly and positive atmosphere, provided space for establishing new contacts and strengthening existing ties between the two institutions. The identified thematic overlaps and inspiring discussions simultaneously created an excellent basis for further deepening cooperation.
