The
Slovak
Red Cross and its 38 regional associations are organizing a campaign from the 8th till the 26th
of February 2010 called ‘Give blood on Valentine's Day'. On this 15th year of
the event, the Minister of Health, Dr. Richard Rasi, MPH( Master of Public
Health) will give his support.
The campaign is aimed at addressing blood donors, mainly from amongst young people but also from families. Its aim is to disseminate the idea of family blood donations, especially the education for blood donations.
This recruitment campaign is the second largest campaign by the Slovak Red Cross which is organized in cooperation with the National Transfusion Service of the Slovak Republic (SR NTS) and the transfusion departments of hospitals (HTD). The campaign has a nationwide scope and impact on schools, businesses and organizations.
Sampling days at the NTS in Trnava are daily from 7 am, in the Hospital at 11 A. Žarnova Street. The sample day at the HTD in Piestany Hospital on 66 A. Winter Street, is every Wednesday from 7am.
