The International Doctoral Seminar in Smolenice was held in May 13-16, 2007 under the auspices of MTF STU dean Professor Dr. Ing. Oliver Moravčík. 45 participants and guests arrived from various universities in the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Germany, Belorussia and Austria.
PhD students presented the results of their scientific research in two parallel sections.
- Section A – Materials Engineering, Machine Production Technologies
- Section B – Industrial Management and Quality Engineering, Applied Information Technology and Automation in Industry, Environmental and Safety Engineering, Human Science in Technology.
Presentations in sections were followed by discussions and consequently by cultural and social events. Participants enjoyed the party connected with evaluation of the seminar results. The participants´ reactions reflected the high quality level of this successful event.
Last day they also visited karst Driny cave and had an opportunity to see the historical sigts of Trnava.
The following 3rd International Doctoral Seminar will be organized in May 18-20, 2008.
