On the 27th of January 2011 the annual open day event for prospective students of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava took place. Representatives of the FMST's institutes gave information about the accredited programs of the faculty and also material and technical equipment of their workplaces, to the visiting secondary school students.
Approximately 400 high school students from the local area
and from Malacky, Myjava, Piešťany and its surroundings were given the
opportunity to visit laboratories and specialized institutes of materials,
production technology, production systems and applied mechanics, and
environmental and safety engineering.
The prospective students were welcomed by the vice-dean for undergraduate studies doc. RNDr. Mary Mišútová, PhD. and were given information about accredited programs of various institutions by the following staff of the faculty: UPMK - Ing. Zuzana Lenhardtová, PhD., UMAT - doc. Ing. Roman Moravčík, PhD., UVSM - doc. Ing. Peter Košťál, PhD., UVTE - prof. Ing. Ivan Baránek, CSc., UBEI - Ing. Richard Kuracina, PhD., UIPH - PhDr. Ľubomír Holkovič, PhD., UIAM - doc. Ing. Pavol Božek, PhD.
