On the 4th October 2012 the Chairman of the Trnava region -Tibor Mikus opened the scientific conference of Future Energy Sources - present and future. The co-organizer of the event is the MTF STU, who welcomed the participants of the conference at its premises on Paulinska Street. The scientific conference creates a space for the presentation of issues in the field of using solar, hydro, geothermal and wind energy and the field of material and energy utilized from biomass and waste as well as energy resources of regions.
The event was held under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic -Ivan Gašparovič. On behalf of the Dean of the faculty -Prof. Oliver Moravčík, the opening ceremony was attended by the Vice-Dean for Development- Prof. Jozef Peterka. The faculty was represented by Prof. Karol Balog in the Scientific Committee of the conference.
