From May 5 to 8, 2025, representatives of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava – vice-dean for strategic projects and mobility Ing. Libor Ďuriška, PhD. and -vice-director for foreign and internal relations Assoc. Prof. Ing. Ladislav Morovič, PhD. (UVTE) – participated in the International Week at John von Neumann University in the Hungarian city of Kecskemét.
In addition to the visiting Hungarian university, the event brought together representatives from 13 partner institutions from 11 countries (Azerbaijan, China, Lithuania, Malta, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan), who discussed the possibilities of expanding international cooperation in the areas of research, teaching and student and staff mobility over several days.
The event program included expert lectures, presentations of individual universities and institutions, as well as networking activities, which allowed for new contacts to be established and specific proposals for cooperation to be prepared. Local students were also given the opportunity to learn about study opportunities abroad.
The international week culminated in an informal evening program - the so-called “international picnic”, where representatives of partner universities, teachers, students and employees of the visiting university met in a pleasant atmosphere.
The participation of MTF STU in this event contributed to strengthening the international position of the faculty and created new opportunities for cooperation in the field of education and research.
