Eleven university students took an opportunity not only to compete but also to explain principles of science to students of elementary schools. Attractive educational videos introduced them to various areas of physics, biology and chemistry.
Five papers were selected. One of them was the work with the title “Ako vzniká dúha“ (What is the principle of rainbow) by authors - Ing. Jakub Franík, Ing. Peter Cuninka, Ing. Andrea Peterková (PhD student of UIAM MTF).They were awarded fourth place.
ASFEU, as the initiator of the competition, awarded the creativity and ideas in animated and original videos expressing scientific laws influencing life around us. “We are very glad that university students contributed and explained to our youngest pupils that there is no reason to be afraid of natural sciences, that they can be very popular,“ said Marián Kostolányi, the General Director of ASFEU.
The competition was supported as a part of the operation programme Research and Development from the European fund of regional development.
We thank and congratulate the finalists for a great presentation.
