On the 24th and 25th October 2013, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava held the first national conference of PhD students, this was organized by the Slovak Association of PhD. students in cooperation with the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
The conference was attended by 125 doctoral students from Slovakia who had the opportunity over two days to discuss topics related to doctoral studies in Slovakia. "I am glad that PhD students expressed interest in the conference and crave for the second year. The guests and participants were not the only ones satisfied; the Slovak Association of PhD. students were also satisfied." Said Veronika Trstianska - President of the Slovak Association of PhD. students.
The program involved representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Slovak universities and non-governmental organizations.
