Information about
applying for a loan from the Student Loan Fund
The loan from the fund may be ask for by each student of daily and external forms of students who are in their first attempt of study in the Slovak Republic or a foreign university. Permanent residence in the Slovak Republic or a student who is studying at university in the Slovak Republic in the position of foreign Slovak is needed. The first study of high school is considered and further study at graduate level, where ongoing daily or part-time in a Master's degree or master study. As a first attempt of study the following is also considered, further masters or engineering studies of bachelor degree graduates.
if the applicant satisfies the first condition for the first attempt of studies and has applied to more universities which are not dividend into faculties, a loan may only be granted for the one university.
An applicant for a loan by one who is studying at university and has taken all the prescribed study examinations and testing of the college or university, can request in writing an application for inclusion on the list of applicants until the 15th June, other applicants, including the first-year students until the 1Oth of October:
a) Applicants should send applications to the university they are studying in.
b) Students studying at foreign universities should send applications to the
student loan.
