An almost full auditorium of students and faculty staff welcomed Prof. MUDr. Anton Guth, C.S.c at this important event on the 12.4.2012. The Dean of the MTF - Prof. Dr. Ing. Oliver Moravčík was looking forward to this important visit of Prof. MUDr. Anton Guth, C.S.c. The musical performances were by students of the Trnava’s.
Ing. Milan Petras, PhD. introduced listeners to Professor Guth who is Head of the Department of physiotherapy, balneology and medical rehabilitation of the University Hospital in Bratislava. The afternoon’s meeting’s topic was - an essential element of the lecture was about posture by Professor Guth, it was very interesting and contained witty observations. Numerous drawings of parts of the spine were shown with examples of correct and incorrect positions of people for different activities. We were truly surprised at the number of bad movements to the spine one may perform daily. A short collective exercise by the audience followed, the Professor answered questions during a discussion. There was a possibility to buy his book called, “pain and the school of back” with the author's autograph.
