Visit of Ing. Peter Vincze, CEO of RÁBA Vehicle Ltd. (Győr, Hungary), to the Institute of Production Technologies, MTF STU in Trnava
On 27 November 2025, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (MTF) of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, based in Trnava, was visited by its successful alumnus Ing. Peter Vincze, who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of RÁBA Vehicle Ltd., a member of the RÁBA Automotive Holding Plc. His visit took place at the Institute of Production Technologies (UVTE) of MTF STU and consisted of professional and working activities intended for both students and the institute’s management.
In the opening part of the programme, Ing. Peter Vincze delivered a lecture to UVTE students. He introduced the activities of RÁBA Automotive Holding Plc. and focused in greater detail on the development activities of RÁBA Vehicle Ltd. in the field of vehicle design and operation. The lecture also included an analysis of four case studies dealing with axle housing damage, the influence of machining of planetary gears in axle hubs on functional and service life properties, steering wheel vibrations, and failures of planetary bearings in planetary gear systems. All analysed cases were primarily assessed from the perspective of manufacturing technologies, with particular emphasis on manufacturing accuracy, design solutions, and the suitability of the selected manufacturing processes, which have a decisive impact on the functional behaviour and service life of vehicle components.
The lecture was followed by a working meeting with doc. Ing. Ivan Buranský, PhD., Director of the Institute of Production Technologies; doc. Ing. Jozef Bílik, PhD., Head of the Department of Metal Forming and Plastics Processing at UVTE; and doc. Ing. Ladislav Morovič, PhD., Vice-Director for Foreign and Internal Relations at UVTE. During the meeting, possibilities for future cooperation between the faculty and the company were discussed. The visit also included a tour of selected UVTE laboratories, where Ing. Peter Vincze had the opportunity to become acquainted with the institute’s technical equipment and research capacities.
Both the lecture and the subsequent meeting significantly enriched the professional environment of the Institute of Production Technologies and provided students with a realistic insight into vehicle design, failure analysis, and operational aspects. The visit also confirmed the importance of strong links between the faculty and industrial practice, as well as cooperation with experts from the international environment.
