EDUCATION OBJECTIVES
The Industrial Management study program focuses on the development of a complex personality who will be able to apply flexibly in the labor market. The graduate will gain the knowledge and skills that enable him to handle research tasks in the key areas of industrial engineering, with a view to creating innovative processes and products. The study program is designed to provide knowledge and develop skills and competences to contribute to the knowledge base, innovation and creation of new knowledge and practices.
Knowledge
The graduate will gain deep theoretical knowledge and methodological foundations at an appropriate level of international criteria, allowing them to conduct independent, principle-based research on sustainable development, with a focus on industrial engineering, design, and production economic systems and processes.
The graduate has got knowledge in the key areas of industrial enterprise management, understands the significance and role of individual schools and management concepts, is familiar with a systematic approach to solving selected problems in operational and system analysis, and is familiar with specific methods and procedures for their resolution
The graduate will gain an overview of the history of monetary systems, understand the basic economic issues that economics solves as a science and their projection into the economy in individual stages of human society, and know the current directions of economic thinking, especially the so-called "new economy", social principles of responsible business, and their reflection in the strategy and policy of the company.
The graduate has extensive knowledge of production management issues, with a particular focus on the applications, advantages and impacts of new organizational and technological trends in pre-production, production and post-production stages of production management. The graduate knows integrated and interdisciplinary managerial practices, challenges and problems in different countries and contexts.
Skills
The graduate is able to apply knowledge from key areas of industrial enterprise management in practice, integrate the use of various approaches, tools, and methods to address specific strategic tasks of industrial enterprises, and formulate, implement, and control key decisions in the context of a new business model based on sustainable, socially responsible business.
The graduate can use methods of mathematical probability, statistical analysis and selected exact methods and procedures to solve current economic and business practice problems, can formulate mathematical models of processes and tasks related to the management of production, transport and logistics systems, as well as to control software tools for solving optimization tasks.
The graduate will participate in scientific research projects of the training center, will be able to understand the objectives, methods and procedures for solving scientific research projects, design, verify and implement new research and working procedures, learn to work in an interdisciplinary multicultural team and publish the results of scientific work.
Competences
The graduate is able to work on the system sciences base not only in industrial branches, but also in other areas of society, independently conduct research and present its results to scientific forums. The graduate is characterised by critical, independent and analytical thinking in changing conditions, accepts the social, scientific and ethical aspects of further development of the company and is able to work scientifically, formulate and analyze problems and design their solutions, implement projects by using the most modern formal apparatus of experimental procedures with respect to his professional focus, to implement solutions corresponding with the latest trends in the development of science and technology in the given areas.
APPLICATION OF THE GRADUATE IN PRACTICE
Indication of occupation
Graduate of the Industrial Management study program, or one of its modules:
- will find application in scientific-research as well as pedagogical workplaces of universities, and research institutes, consulting and advisory companies dealing with the above mentioned issues, corporate development workplaces and after gaining practical experience in top management positions in various types of organizations.
