The Faculty of Materials Science at the Slovak University of technology in Trnava, on the 29th of March 2012, the 16th Student Scientific Conference (SSL) took place.
The conference was attended by twelve sections of 101 students, the work was displayed in the form of Power Point presentations or were necessary as posters.
In December 2011 the works supervisors suggestedn170 subjects for ŠVOČ, from which
93 were presented at the faculty round. The level of work was evaluated by
expert committees composed of teachers and researchers of our faculty. This
year's work was evaluated by a total of 42 evaluation panels of experts. Thank
you to all students that participated, supervisors, organizational directors of
individual sections, the Institute's staff - who organized the work in
connection with the ŠVOČ at the institution (members KSVOČ), Directors of the
Institute for the support of the conference,
members of the commissions and all others who were involved. In each of
the 12 sections of the three best works, there was a diploma awarded by the
Dean of the MTF STU plus a financial reward (incentive scholarship). The six winning
works from the sections: materials, production technologies 1, industrial engineering,
management and quality 1, Fire Engineering, Humanities and English were suggested
to the Literary Fund for scientific and technical literature and computer
programs.
Two students from the section of Materials and from the section of Production equipment and systems were awarded money and a tablet.
