The Dean of the faculty- Professor Moravčík welcomed on the 2nd of November 2010 a student of the faculty of Materials Science and Technology SUT Bc. Matúš Sobota (1st year student of Ing in the study of Applied Informatics and Automation in Industry ), to congratulate him for gaining the title of Word Champion in Power lifting.
The world championship took place from the 21.- 25. 9. 2010 in Trnave. Bc. Matúš Sobota became the absolute junior Word Champion in Power lifting with an achievement of 852.5kg (squats 310kg, bench press 265kg, dead lifts 277.5kg).
