A 3-month research stay by Ing. Marcin Relich, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Zielona Gora in Poland) at the Institute of Industrial Engineering, Management and Quality, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava, Slovak University of technology in Bratislava was completed on the 17th May 2013. The research stay was connected with the scholarship within the framework of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic. The teaching activities during the scholarship stay included lectures concerning Management Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Business Intelligence systems and online analytical processing tools, data analysis in ERP systems, as well as solving optimization problems with the use of integer programming. The research activities during the scholarship stay concerned the field of project management and knowledge management. The results of the research stay and cooperation with Faculty’s researchers have been written in the form of articles and sent to scientific journals.
Marcin Relich obtained a Ph.D. degree in Economic Sciences from the Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland. His current research interests include various aspects of information systems development and management, enterprise application integration, business process improvement, and knowledge management. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed publications.
