On the 21st – 27th of January 2013 internal Ph.D. students from the Institutet of Industrial Engineering, Management and Quality Ján Hudák, MS.c and Erika Pokorná, MS.c. attended the European Innovation Academy WINTER 2013 in Tallin, Estonia. A rich programme of events was prepared for the event participants.
The official part of the event started with talks by prominent lecturers and experts in the field of innovation including Thomas J. Howard, Ph.D., assoc. prof., Mark Harris, Ph.D., prof. and Steve Taylor, Ph.D., prof. The speakers enriched the sessions by providing valuable and interesting information from practice. The afternoon section was filled with practical exercises, with the most valuable and interesting part being the „Lego Lab Prototyping". Lego was used to create a model representing the business plan, which was then presented. The use of Lego made it possible to build a number of innovative solutions and interesting ideas. The schedule included a cultural programme - visit to the ancient prison, the centre of science and technology, art galleries and a tour through the historic centre of Tallinn. The highlight of the programme was the James Bond Gala Evening at the theatre Klubi.
Tallinn, Estonia's capital city is full of wonderful sights and the right place for students and teachers who would like to participate in mobility, internships and foreign visits.
