1. PhD. thesis: Assessment of fire hazard of materials using neural networks
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Jozef Martinka, PhD., jozef.martinka@stuba.sk
Anotation: This PhD. thesis is focused on the development of new methods for fire hazard of materials and products testing and also on the new approaches of obtained data evaluation. The main aim is to develop methods that will be able to predict behaviour of materials and products during a real fire. The testing methods will be based on the modification of the cone calorimeter and oxygen calorimetry methods. The neural network analysis will be carried out by the MATLAB software or by the Python programming language.
Characteristics of supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Jozef Martinka, PhD. is head of the Department of Fire Engineering on the Institute of Integrated Safety. His research is mainly focused on the fire hazard of materials and products and also on the prediction of materials behaviour during a real fire from results of laboratory test methods.
