The Materials Engineering and Technologies study programme, delivered in English, prepares specialists in the field of development, processing, diagnostics and application of engineering materials, capable of working in an international academic and industrial environment. Graduates acquire comprehensive knowledge of the interrelationships between the composition, structure, properties and application potential of materials.
The programme places strong emphasis on mastering technological processes for the production and processing of metallic, non-metallic and composite materials, including the design and optimisation of manufacturing processes and production systems. Students gain knowledge in numerical modelling of material phase composition, simulation of technological processes, and modern methods of analysing the structure and properties of materials, supported by the use of information systems for data collection, processing and analysis.
The acquired knowledge and skills enable graduates to independently solve engineering tasks in the fields of materials research, development and production, to work with diagnostic equipment, and to use software tools for modelling material processes. Graduates develop analytical and creative thinking, the ability to professionally present their own solutions and organise their work, while the programme also provides a solid foundation for continuing studies at the doctoral level.
