The Integrated Safety study program focuses on the training of graduates who are experts in occupational safety and health, fire engineering and environmental engineering. Emphasis is placed on the ability to practically apply the acquired knowledge.
Education objectives
Knowledge
The graduate of the bachelor's study program Integrated Safety knows to:
- characterize the issues of safety and health at work, environmental studies in the field of industrial enterprises and in the field of services
- characterize and classify hazardous substances and hazardous wastes
- characterize and explain the basics of safety, environmental and fire engineering
- describe issues in the field of safety and design of safer workplaces, further understand the principles of environmental studies and the basis of their technologies
- describe and characterize the requirements of the working environment in the field of environmental studies and safety
- characterize the requirements and issues of analysis, evaluation and risk management
- describe issues in the field of workplace safety and dedicated technical equipment
- characterize the issue of determining and evaluating the properties of chemical substances and selected parameters of the working environment
- classify the requirements for an environmentally friendly and safe workplace
- characterize legislative requirements and requirements of standards for workplaces regarding safety and health at work
Skills
Graduates of the bachelor's study program Integrated Safety knows and can:
- prepare documentation related to occupational safety and health, environmental studies and related legislation
- process documentation related to the requirements of the working environment in the field of environmental studies and safety
- prepare documentation in the field of safety and design of safer workplaces and in the field of environmental studies
- work with dangerous substances, assess their properties and design ways of handling these substances
- analyze, assess risks and deduce conclusions from findings
- sssess and improve quality and environmental quality
- apply knowledge in the field of workplace safety and dedicated technical equipment in the processing of professional documentation
- determine the basic properties of chemical substances and selected parameters of the working environment
- assess the fire-technical characteristics of the workplace and working environment and be able to process basic documentation related to fire engineering
Competence
A graduate of the Integrated Safety study program has ability to:
- work independently (after completing the course) as a safety technician, mastering the basics in the field of safety, environment and fire protection
- independently analyze safety and environmental issues and propose solutions for improvement
- keep the production company's documentation in the field of safety, environment and fire protection
At the end of the study, the graduate of the bachelor's degree prepares a bachelor's thesis related to safety and health protection at work and the environment so that he / she demonstrates the knowledge and skills acquired during the study.
Graduate application
Indication of occupation
A graduate of a bachelor's degree will work as a safety technician. It is also possible to apply in the field of environmental studies and safety, where it can process basic documentation. He will also work as a risk analyst and in the field of dedicated technical equipment. Also in the field of fire engineering, work environment safety and product safety. He may pursue an engineering or master's degree in a related degree program.
