- top post in two accredited disciplinary segments minimum within Slovakia; to become a respected institution in common European research area - in the field of materials research and industrial technologies
- draw resources from structural funds of European Union - 2007-2013 - to compete for building 3 - 4 excellence centres at the above-mentioned segments of science
- realize the integration of our available capacities to a campus in the Bottova Street in such way that the pedagogical process, research and development shall be localized to existing as well as to planned buildings in the campus
- perform the structural innovations in such a way that they shall be comparable to modern institutions in Europe and overseas
- globalization of our activities even by supplementation of staff, especially the scientific personalities from Slovakia and abroad
- rise in the number of foreign students within the European average by using the English language in some specific teaching sections
- high professionalism within the economic and administrative processes realized through qualified specialists in managerial capacities in the field of economics and institute management.
The Faculty shall become the institution for development, prosperity and goodwill for its staff. The institution that is worth working for and that knows how to appreciate and pay its staff adequately for their quality job performance.
