To be eligible to apply for the Bc. study, the applicant must have accomplished study on high school. The study at STU The applicant can study the selected study programme only in the Slovak language. The fee for the application per one study programme in the Slovak language is 30€.
Bachelor study is offered only in Slovak language. The Faculty management only accepts electronically submitted applications.

Tution of study
Tution for study is free. Tuition fee (exceeding the standard length of study – 3 years) shall be paid throughout the entire study time-period, Rector´s Directive.

In case the applicant has accomplished the study abroad:
Documents issued by a secondary school in the Czech Republic are automatically valid without recognition.

Email communication with the applicant takes place only until enrollment in the study program (in the case of admission) through the email address provided in the e-application. The decision on admission/non-admission is sent to the applicant via Slovak Post to the contact address provided in the e-application. The applicant is responsible for any incorrect information in the e-application or for failing to receive the decision on admission/non-admission.
Applicants who are citizens of the Slovak Republic and completed secondary school abroad, as well as applicants who are citizens of another country (foreign nationals) and wish to study at the university, are required to submit:
- Curriculum vitae (CV) (submission electronically via the e-application is sufficient)
- Grades from the last three completed school years (submission electronically via the e-application is sufficient). The applicant is required to enter the grades in the e-application according to the Slovak grading scale following this manual for grade conversion by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
- A complete transcript of subjects and exams completed during secondary school, officially translated into Slovak
- Decision on the recognition of equivalence of the secondary education certificate obtained with the Slovak Maturita Certificate (issued by the Regional School Office in the Slovak Republic) https://uznavanie.minedu.sk/en/category/recognition-of-secondary-education or a Clause on Recognition of the Level of Foreign Education
An applicant who submits the Clause is required to also verify their secondary school diploma through the Register of Education Documents available at https://info.edbo.gov.ua/edu-documents/.
The applicant must request that the generated extract from the Register, confirmed by CEP (qualified electronic signature – КЕП), be sent to their own email address.
The received file (ZIP format) must be uploaded to the e-application as proof of completion of the previous level of education (Maturita Certificate, etc.). Without this confirmation, the Clause is invalid.
- Certificate of Slovak language proficiency at a minimum level of B1, issued by the Language Center of the Institute of Lifelong Learning at STU in Bratislava. The faculty does not accept any certificate other than that issued by the Language Center at STU.
Requirements for the admission to the study
The basic condition of acceptance is successful graduation from a high school and certificate on passing the course in the Slovak language as a foreign language, level B1 at minimum. An applicant who does not submit the required documents will not be accepted by the faculty.
Slovak language for students – the intensive courses
The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILL STU), Language Centre ILL STU has organised for foreign students who study at the faculties of the University in Slovak language the Intensive Slovak Language Courses.
Length of study
The Faculty offers the bachelor study:
- full-time (3 years), attendance method: education process is carried out on weekdays Monday to Friday
- full-time (3 years), combined form: education process is carried out on Friday afternoons and on Saturday.
Study of all accredited study programmes offered is carried out in Trnava, in Dubnica nad Váhom. The applicants interested in studying in Dubnica nad Váhom, has to specify explicitly the place of study in their electronic application.
