Graduate
The graduate of this field will have knowledge and theoretical information from
technological fields relative to metallurgy and progressive technologies of non spill cutting operations, processing
materials, knowledge from the field of computer aided production and the
application of CA systems, simulation of technological processes and their
applications in manufacturing plants, taking into account quality, technical-economic
and environmental aspects of various types of products.
Graduate controlled scientific methods for research and development of production processes with basic orientation to the technology of machining, welding, moulding, casting and also for the creation of surfaces, engineering metrology, assembly, powder metallurgy, tribology, CA technology in machinery and equipment for metal processing.
Graduates of this degree program can work in R & D departments of manufacturing companies, in high managerial positions in production management departments with sophisticated manufacturing technology, in institutions, Slovak Academy of Sciences, the technical faculties of universities and technical colleges and manufacturing tech.

engineering technology and materials:
- will be able to adopt the principles of scientific work in the field of engineering technology and materials,

- will know how to scientifically formulate the problem and present their own results,

be able to assess the legal and environmental aspects, ethical and social pages
of scientific work.
Graduate
- Will obtain a high proficiency in classical and modern engineering technologies for the processing of technical materials in the development and application of new technological methods.
- Will be able to control the physical principles, theory and methodology of technological processes.
- Will be able to pursue the ability to formulate the basis of analysis of problems relative to scientific research on the basis of European legislative and to implement the projects using the most formal apparatus and experimental procedures to the level of ones newly gained ability.
- Will understand context of applying CA technologies in manufacturing processes and the drafting of individual technologies as well as the physical essence of original solutions implemented in the field of information technology relative to the preparation and management of experiments, modelling and simulation.
- Will recognize the social, moral, legal and economic contexts of their profession in the saddle or scientific researcher.
- Will be ready for research and development of new methods, based on the latest developments.
- Will be ready to formulate the problem and lead a trained team.
- Will
be able to use deferent types of applications relating to cutting-edge
research, scientific and training organizations, (regardless of whether it is a
domestic or foreign market), as well as in industry for top positions.
