To be eligible to apply for the Ing. study, the applicant must have accomplished the bacherol study. The study at STU The applicant can study the selected study programme only in the Slovak language. The fee for the application per one study programme in the Slovak language is 30€, in the English language 60€.

Tution of study
Tuition fees are free. Tuition fees (exceeding the standard length of study – 2 years) are paid throughout the entire period of study, according to the Rector´s Directive.
Application fee: studies in Slovak language 30€, studies in English language (Materials Engineering and Technologies program) 60€.

An applicant applying for the Materials Engineering and Technologies study program taught in English shall submit:
- A certified copy of the Bachelor’s degree diplomatranslated into Slovak
- A certified copy of the transcript of records or the Diploma Supplement translated into Slovak
- Confirmation of payment of the admission procedure material support fee (to be submitted only by the applicant who paid the admission procedure material support fee by bank transfer and did not indicate the correct variable symbol)
- Curriculum Vitae (only electronically in the e-application)
- Certificate of completion of the English language course as a foreign language at least at level B2 (except for applicants who completed previous higher education studies in English)
- Nostrification or a Certificate of Recognition of Education for the purpose of continuing studies, or a Statement on the recognition of the level of attained education.

An applicant who submits a Statement on the recognition is obliged to verify his diploma through the Register of documents on education, which can be found at https://info.edbo.gov.ua/edu-documents/ . The applicant is obliged to request in the register of documents to deliver the generated extract from the register with confirmation from CEP (КЕП - квалификативным електронним пидписом) to his/her own e-mail address. The delivered file (zip) is obliged to upload to the e-application no later than 31.08.2026. Without this confirmation, the Clause is invalid. Procedure for verifying the validity of the document with delivery to the e-mail address (mandatory attachment to the enrollment in the study)

An applicant who has completed previous studies abroad shall submit and apply for a study program taught in the Slovak language:
- A certified copy of the bachelor's degree diploma translated into Slovak
- A certified copy of the transcript of records or the bachelor's degree supplement translated into Slovak
- Confirmation of payment of the admission procedure material support fee (to be submitted only by the applicant who paid the admission procedure material support fee by bank transfer and did not indicate the correct variable symbol)

- Certificate of completion of the Slovak as a foreign language course, at least at level B2 (this certificate is not submitted by an applicant who is a citizen of the Slovak or Czech Republic and completed his studies at a university abroad).

Slovak language for students – the intensive courses
The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILL STU), Language Centre ILL STU has organised for foreign students who study at the faculties of the University in Slovak language the Intensive Slovak Language Courses.
Length of study
The Faculty offers the master study (2 years):
- full-time, attendance method: education process is carried out on weekdays Monday to Friday
- full-time, combined form: education process is carried out on Friday afternoons and on Saturday.
Requirements for the admission to the study
The Faculty offers the master study (2 years). The basic condition of acceptance is successful graduation from a university (bacherol study) and certificate on passing the course in the Slovak language as a foreign language, level B2 at minimum. An applicant who does not submit the required documents will not be accepted by the faculty.
