In order to regard your e-application as complete, it is vital that all these sections are complete. The sections subjected to a completeness check can be divided in two categories. The first category consists of the sections related to the applicant, i.e. to all submitted e-applications, and contains the following Personal information, Applicant's addresses and school marks. The second category consists of the sections related to the individual submitted e-applications and contains the following E-application information and Payment information.
ADMISSION CRITERIA AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The admission procedure to PhD. Study at STU MTF comprises the entrance examination which is obligatory for all applicants.

Entrance examination is generally carried out orally and is focused on learning about the applicant´s prerequisites and motivation for his/her independent creative activity in the field of science and technology as well as on finding the corresponding level of the applicant´s expert knowledge in his/her study field comprising the relevant study programme. The test verifying the English language competencies the part of the entrance examination.
The entrance examination result is assessed by the Examination Committee who subsequently provides the list of applicants according to their:
- results achieved in their Master study,
- evaluation of their Master thesis,
- entrance examination results,
- participation in the Student Research Conferences (hereinafter only SRC),
- present publication outcomes.
In case of equal number of points of more applicants, the order of accepted applicants is arranged according to greater number of points in the following criteria and in their following order:
- examination entrance result,
- publication activity,
- scores at SRC,
- Master study results,
- Master thesis defence evaluation.
The admission examination can be conducted online, in such case the applicants have to send a request to take the entrance examination online.
To be eligible to apply for the doctoral degree university study, you have to deliver also the following documents:
- Document certifying the graduation from a previous level of study (university diploma),
- Attested copy of Diploma Supplement,
- Attested copy of State Examination Certificate,
- Covering letter–brief presentation of dissertation thesis topic, STU Internal Regulation 5/2013,
- Europass - Curriculum vitae,
- Confirmation of payment for material part of admission procedure.
If available, the applicant can sent (by mail) or submit the following documents at the day of the entrance examination at the latest:
- the list of own published and unpublished papers, or their reviews,
- copies of Certificates on attendance and diplomas from the Student Research Conferences,
- copies of certificates on other significant results of own expert activities.
All applicants who finished their studies abroad have to have their documents recognised.
PROFESSIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING
The written test verifying the English language competencies the part of the entrance examination.
The accepted applicant to the doctoral study will pass the foreign language training only in the English language.
FOR APPLICATION FOR THE 3RD DEGREE UNIVERSITY STUDY YOU HAVE TO DELIVER ALSO THE DOCUMENTS
The Applicant for the study at STU MTF (SR citizen or a foreigner), who graduated from the previous study abroad is obliged to submit a recognized record of education issued by the foreign university detail information
The applicants (does not relate to the study in the Czech Republic) shall submit to the application the following:
- Decision on the approval of the Certificate of Education issued by the foreign university. The Application for the Approval of the Certificate of Education shall be submitted to STU in Bratislava where the related agenda is registered by the STU Rectorate, Section of Education and Care Services for Students, Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava 1.
- Certificate on passing the course in the Slovak language as a foreign language, level B1 at minimum. The Certificate is submitted only by the applicants who apply for the study in the Slovak language (the Certificate is not submitted by the citizens of the Slovak or Czech Republic who graduated from the foreign university).
The application submitted by the applicant who graduated from the study abroad and who does not submit the decision on the education recognition issued by the foreign university will not be accepted by the Faculty.
